When you file into the beautiful sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church on Saturday, you'll find the typical "bride's side" and "groom's side" seating pattern (which harkens back to the Viking tradition of matrimonially-linked clans holding grease-wrestling battles to see whose ship would be tarred and set ablaze for the wedding pyre). During the ceremony, we may stop just before the vows, pick random members of the congregation, and ask them to give three interesting facts about someone from another group of guests. Any who come up short will be asked to leave ("do not pass go; do not collect the dinner buffet"). Don't let this happen to you - come mix it up on Friday night!
